过去完成时三大易错点：by the time/before 标志词、先后顺序、与现在完成时区分

过去完成时结构简单，真正丢分在三个地方：标志词认不出来、和一般过去时混用、before/after 用法记混。逐一拆解。

易错点一：先发生 vs 后发生

先发生 → had done
后发生 → did
错误：The train left when I had got to the station.
正确：The train had left when I got to the station.
（火车先离开 → had left；我到站后发生 → got）
```
易错点二：before / after 能省则省
```text
before 和 after 本身已经表达先后，有时可直接用一般过去时：
The film had started before I arrived.
= The film started before I arrived.
（before 已说明先后，两句都对）

但 by the time 更强调"到……为止已完成"，用过去完成时更标准。

易错点三：和现在完成时区分

现在完成时：站在现在看过去 → have/has done
过去完成时：站在过去看更早的过去 → had done
I have finished my homework. 现在完成时（现在已完成）
I had finished my homework by 8. 过去完成时（过去 8 点前已完成）
